Positive Action lessons include a variety of games, stories and activities. At each point in the lesson, students are challenged to think about the concept being taught. Additional Teacher materials (posters, game boards, puppets, etc.) reinforce those concepts through interaction. Each lesson also includes actionable material for the student in the form of an activity sheet or classroom activity.
The activity sheets feature material that requires the student to think about the lesson instruction, the underlying concepts, and their understanding of the lesson material. The independent thinking required by the activity lessons further reinforces the lesson material and helps develop thinking skills that are applicable to other activities in the classroom.
